Artur Jorge: "Qarabag’s second goal made me sad" - INTERVIEW

“We came here defeated."

Idman.biz reports that this was said by the Braga head coach, Artur Jorge, when talking about the return match of the UEFA Europa League playoff stage, where they won with a score of 3:2 against Qarabag.

The Portuguese expert expressed his opinion about the suspension of the fight after losing 5:6 (2:4 in the first game): "We had to win to level up. We managed to balance within 90 minutes. The team fought well. But then we made such mistakes that it was unacceptable. Our arguments also decided the rest of the game."

- This was the saddest defeat of your career. How will this affect the team?

- The result in the first game forced us to win here. Although we managed to do this, it did not help us to advance. Our team should recover quickly. My players are very tired. We have a match next week. We have to be fully prepared for the upcoming matches.

- How did you prepare for this game?

- I made some changes in the team. I had to do it. Overall, we managed to equalize the total score in 90 minutes. It was the second goal of Qarabag that made me happy. That solved everything.

- Are you thinking of resigning after this game?

- I can only say that we wanted to level up. But this was not enough.

- How are you leaving Azerbaijan?

- Thank you for your hospitality. We have to leave this race. We have to focus on the Portuguese Premier League.
