Qarabag goalkeeper Andrey Lunev may be invited to the friendly matches of the Russian national team to be held in March.
Idman.biz reports that this was announced by the team's goalkeeping coach Vitaliy Kafanov.
He said that the stable goalkeeper is considered a candidate for the team: "He has shown incredible motivation from the first day he moved to Qarabag until now. During this period, Andrey performs at a constant high level. He helped his team gain points and progress in the European Cups in matches where Qarabag was not very confident. Although Lunev was on the list for the match against Cuba in November, he was injured two weeks ago against Bayer Leverkusen. It is possible that Andrey will be invited to the matches of the national team in March."
It should be noted that Lunev signed a 1+1 year contract with Qarabag in the summer of 2023.
