He commented on winning 1 silver and 1 bronze medal at the international tournament held in Surakarta, Indonesia.
Aliyev said that he managed to become number one in men’s singles: "After that, I defeated my Indian opponent in the playoffs and entered to top 4, which at that time became a bronze medal guarantee. Then I lost to the finalist of the competition. I managed to beat all my opponents in mixed doubles. After the group, I defeated my Indonesian opponent in the quarterfinal and advanced to the final. I lost to an Indian athlete in the decisive stage. I think I did well. Because it was a Level-2 level tournament, I fought against strong opponents."
According to him, he had no difficulties during the race: "I was satisfied with everything, I just had some mistakes. I will work harder on them so that it doesn't happen next time."
Talking about his future goals, the Para badminton player emphasized that he should train more and raise our flag higher in the European and World Championships, as well as in international tournaments: "My main desire is to participate in the Paralympic Games to be held in Los Angeles in 2028 and achieve results."
Ibrahim Aliyev, who started to be represented in Para badminton competitions for the first time in the history of Azerbaijani sports from 2022, made his debut in the international tournament held in Indonesia 2 years ago.
