Ulas Can Turgut, the new transfer of Neftchi basketball club, told Idman.biz.
The Turkish basketball player said that he closely follows the Azerbaijan Basketball League. According to him, his arrival to the Baku club is a step forward: "You have a newly established league. I think it will get stronger in the coming years. Sabah, Khazri, NTD-INDIGO and Neftchi are the strongest clubs of the championship. I look at the Azerbaijan Championship as a springboard for my future career."
Turgut, who is a member of the U-20 national team of Azerbaijan, also spoke about his career: "Turkiye and Azerbaijan are brother countries. That's why I can't make a choice. Whichever of the main national teams invites me sooner, I will choose that team."
It should be noted that Neftchi is 4th in the Azerbaijan Basketball League with 15 points after the 9th round.
