Vladislav Frolov, the Ukrainian player of the Ganja basketball club, commented on their 90:75 victory against Lankaran in the first round of the ABL.
In an interview with the club's press service, he stated, “It was crucial to win the first game. Of course, nothing is perfect. We need to work harder to get results in every match.”, reports Idman.biz.
Frolov emphasized, “Our playing style primarily focuses on successfully organizing defense. Therefore, it was important to play energetically in the backline, which we demonstrated. It was clear that all the players were eager to fight and wanted to win.”
Regarding the upcoming match, he expressed their determination to secure a victory against Guba: “We are eagerly looking forward to playing at home in our new arena. We want to show a good performance to our fans in both defense and attack. We will do everything we can to win. Our supporters are our 13th player.”
Frolov also mentioned that preparations for the upcoming match are at a high level: “The season’s initial games are already behind us, which makes preparation easier. Our training sessions continue at a high tempo, and there is no time to rest. We must prepare diligently.”
The Ganja vs. Guba match will take place on October 27 at 14:00.
