Idman.biz reports that head coach of the Azerbaijan women's national basketball team, Evren Alkaya expressed it.

Our team lost to Lithuania 62:99 in the first game of the qualifying round of the European Championship to be held in 2025. Alkaya stated that they fought well in the first 2 periods: "We attacked in a way they never expected and won points. Our team has some deficiencies in terms of positions. I think we will gradually build a better team. This is a time-consuming task. We will take a lesson from our mistakes and train better. We want to get a better result in the upcoming game against Belgium. We are happy that we finished this game without injury."

It should be noted that the match of Group C between Azerbaijan and Belgium will be held on November 12.
