Azerbaijan advanced to the main stage of the European U-20 Beach Volleyball Championship .
As per Idman.biz, Sabina Alizade - Lizi Latsabidze pair played two matches in the qualifying stage at the continental championship held in Myslowice, Poland.
They defeated Andorra with a score of 2:0 and lost to Scotland with a score of 0:2. As a result, the couple advanced to the next stage. Sabina Alizade - Lizi Latsabidze coached by Nihad Tarverdiyev will play against Spain, Serbia, and England in Group C. The matches will take place on July 25-26. The winners of the competition will be announced on the 28th of the month.
Unlike them, the pairing of Nariman Bayramli and Muhammad Aslanli said goodbye to the competition in the qualification stage. The pair led by Joanildo Costa Junior won against the representatives of Kosovo with a score of 2:0 but then lost to Andorra 1:2 and to Scotland with a score of 0:2.
For the first time in the history of Azerbaijani beach volleyball, an 18-year-old pairing will participate in the main stage of the European Championship.
