European Junior Boxing Championship started in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As Idman.biz reports, 2 athletes of the Azerbaijan national team started the competition with victory.
Kanan Aslanli (63 kg) met William Moore (England) in the 1/16 final. The fight ended with a score of 4:1 (29:27, 28*:28, 28*:28, 27:29, 28*:28) in favor of our boxer. In his second match, Aslanli will face Irishman Eduard Hart.
Adil Zalov (66 kg) also qualified for the 1/8 finals. At the start, he eliminated Luka Mazanashvili (Georgia) - 3:1 (27:29, 30:26, 29:27, 28:28, 29:27). Zalov will test the Irishman in his next fight. His opponent will be John Maher.
Both meetings will take place on June 25.
The competition will end on June 30.
