Nihat Gasimov debuted bout with Michael Reilly (Ireland) in 48 kg. He defeated his opponent 5:0 (29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28).
Safter Mammadzada (+80 kg) also entered the semi-finals. He eliminated Bogdan Bajzert (Poland). As the opponent was injured in the 3rd round, the doctors did not allow the match to continue, and Mammadzada, who prevailed, was declared the winner.
Both our boxers reached the semi-finals and secured a bronze medal for themselves.
