The young boxer of the Azerbaijani national team, Nihad Gasimov, reached the finals of the 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games held in Yakutsk, Russia.
As per Idman.biz, the member of the national team, who played in the 48 kg category, knocked out Haydari Mujtaba from Afghanistan in the semi-finals.
He defeated his opponent 5:0. Gasimov will face Elyar Rustamov (Uzbekistan) for the gold medal. The meeting will be on June 5.
Hagverdi Hasanov (57 kg), Nurlan Abishov (60 kg) and Valeh Eyvazli (66 kg) finished the Games with a bronze medal as they lost in the semi-finals.
