Azerbaijani team officially won their first medal in the U23 European Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Idman.biz reports that Marjona Savrieva (50 kg) wrote the award to the asset of Azerbaijan.
She faced Dominika Kuczewska (Poland) in the semifinals. Savrieva finished the European Championship with a bronze medal, as the opponent won the match 4:1 (29:28, 29:28, 30:27, 30:27, 28:29).
3 more boxers of Azerbaijan will enter the ring in the semi-final stage.
