The Youth World Boxing Championship has kicked off in Budva, Montenegro, and three Azerbaijani boxers have advanced past the first round.
According to İdman.biz, Qizbas Iskandar (60 kg) automatically won her bout as her opponent, Aida Kopse from Slovenia, did not show up. She will face Molka Khalifi from Tunisia in the 1/8 finals.
In the 63.5 kg category, Ali Abdullayev secured a 4:1 victory over Skender Lala from Albania (29:27, 29:27, 29:27, 29:27, 27:29). His next opponent is Russia's Malik Sugaipov in the 1/16 finals.
Abbasgulu Shadlinski (75 kg) also triumphed in his 1/32 final match, defeating Montassar Ben Zid from Tunisia with a 5:0 decision (29:28, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27). His next bout will be against Giorgi Natroshvili from Georgia.
The championship will conclude on November 3.
