The IBA Youth World Boxing Championships continue in Budva, Montenegro.
According to Idman.biz, on day four, two Azerbaijani athletes celebrated their debut with wins.
Tagi Nasibov (57 kg) faced Hungary’s Peter Benedek in the round of 32, winning all three rounds and securing a 4:1 victory (28:29, 30:27, 29:28, 29:28, 30:27). Nasibov will next compete against Matas Grigorianas from Lithuania.
Meanwhile, Mahammadali Gasimzade (60 kg) claimed his first win in the championship, defeating Colombia’s Luis Perez Berrio with a 5:0 score (30:27, 30:26, 30:26, 30:27, 30:25). He will face Armin Santos Mancilla from Mexico in his next bout.
The championship will conclude on November 3.
