At the Gymnasiade Games held in Bahrain, Azerbaijan's boxing team achieved a significant victory, claiming 12 gold medals in the final matches.
Competitors such as Ali Aliyev (46 kg), Shahin Mustafayev (48 kg), Nihad Gasimov (50 kg), and Zakir Hasanzada (52 kg) emerged victorious, topping the podium in their respective weight classes. In addition, Guler Huseynova (46 kg) and Banuchichek Nasirli (48 kg) won gold, further contributing to the team’s success.
Other athletes, including Valeh Eyvazli (66 kg) and Aylin Nazarova (50 kg), earned silver medals, while Adil Zalov (75 kg) and Safdar Mammadzada (+80 kg) finished with bronze.
The boxing events took place at Al-Ahli Club Complex.
