Azerbaijani boxer Bilalhabashi Nazarov has advanced to the final of the IBA Youth World Championship held in Budva, Montenegro.
Idman.biz reports that Nazarov, competing in the 48 kg category, defeated Othman Chadghour from Morocco in the semifinals with a score of 5:0 (30:26, 30:26, 30:26, 29:27, 30:26). He will face Safyiddin Sabirov from Uzbekistan in the final.
In addition, Aynur Mikayilova (57 kg) finished the championship with a bronze medal after a 1:4 loss to Turkiye's Pinar Benek in the semifinals. Mikayilova has made history as the first Azerbaijani female boxer to win a medal in the youth category.
Three other Azerbaijani boxers are set to compete in their semifinal matches.
