Elbrus Rzayev, head coach of Azerbaijan’s national youth boxing team, expressed dissatisfaction with the refereeing decisions following his athletes' performance at the World Youth Championships in Budva, Montenegro.
In an interview after their return, Rzayev shared his perspective on the final matches, explaining, “The final bouts were intense. Our boxers faced athletes from Uzbekistan, and honestly, it wasn’t a clear defeat. The match was evenly matched, but there was a degree of unfairness from the referees that affected us. That’s why we had to settle for silver.”
