In anticipation of the fight between American YouTuber Jake Paul and legendary boxer Mike Tyson, scheduled for November 15, a press conference was held, gathering all 12 participants of the boxing night in Dallas.
As reported by Idman.biz, the event ended on an unexpected note. Among the 12 fighters predicting the outcome of the Paul-Tyson match, nine favored Tyson, which angered Paul.
The YouTuber challenged the nine boxers supporting Tyson to place a bet on the fight: "I like this. It’s amusing to see foolish people making foolish predictions. Who wants to bet with me? Anyone up for it, let’s shake on it."
Five of the nine fighters accepted Paul’s challenge. Australian boxer Dan Caldwell suggested a modest $20 bet, while Melinda Watpool offered her ring as a wager. Niraj Goyat and Bruce Carrington agreed to stake $1 million each, with Goyat putting his $1 million house on the line for Tyson's victory.
However, Irish boxing legend Katie Taylor made the boldest move, asking Paul if he was willing to bet their fight earnings. Paul agreed, with Katie wagering her $9 million fee against Paul’s $40 million.
At the event’s end, Jake Paul confirmed that the bets would be formalized, promising to send each participant a contract to seal the deal.
