The European Championship among boxers under 22 years of age continues in Budva, Montenegro.
Idman.biz reports that on the third day of the competition, 2 more athletes of the Azerbaijan national team passed the stage.
Magsud Khasmetov (60kg) won his second match in a row. He also defeated the Irish Callum Owens in the 1/8 finals - 4:1 (28:29, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28). Our boxer will face Russian Konstantin Opolsky in his third competition.
Murad Allahverdiyev (80 kg), who secured the license for the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games, entered the 1/4 finals. He defeated the Italian Cromwell Commey Alfred with the score of 4:1 (29:28, 30:26, 30:26, 28:29, 29:28). Allahverdiyev's next competition will be against Delil Dadayev (Germany).
The matches of the 1/4 final stage will be held on November 16.
