Boris Gelfand, the winner of the Chess World Cup, came to Baku at the invitation of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation (ACF).
According to the information provided to Idman.biz by ACF, Gelfand, who met today with the president of the organization Mahir Mammadov, was later introduced to the chess players.
Based on the agreement reached with the Israeli chess player, he will regularly share his rich experience with Azerbaijani chess players. During his stay in our country, he will work with well-known chess players Govhar Beydullayeva, Ayan Allahverdiyeva, Muhammad Muradli, Aydin Suleymanli, Khazar Babazade, Abdulla Gadimbeyli, Vugar Asadli and others.
It should be noted that Gelfand, who played in the Israeli national team for many years, won the World Cup in 2009 and the Candidates Tournament in 2011. He participated in the world chess championship match in 2012.
