2000 chess players from 190 countries at the Olympics

The expectations of the organizers of the World Chess Olympiad, which will be held in Budapest on September 10-23, have become clear.

As Idman.biz reports, they hope for the arrival of about 2,000 chess players from 190 countries.

Two years ago, 188 men's and 162 women's teams competed in the Chennai Olympics. The organizers believe that the numbers may be higher in the upcoming competition.

Registration for the Olympics is ongoing and will end on July 19.

The Azerbaijan national teams have already decided on the application for participation. The men's team will include Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Rauf Mammadov, Nijat Abasov, Muhammad Muradli and Aydin Suleymanli, and the women's team will include Gunay Mammadzada, Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Govhar Beydullayeva, Khanim Balajayeva and Gulnar Mammadova.
