The European Chess Union has revealed the prize fund for the upcoming European Women's Chess Championship, scheduled to take place next year.
The total prize pool stands at €60,000, with €10,000 set aside for the tournament winner, Idman.biz reports.
The runner-up will receive €8,000, while the third-place finisher will be awarded €7,000. Additionally, prizes will be given to the top 20 participants. Those finishing between 12th and 20th place will each receive €1,000.
The championship will be hosted in Rhodes, Greece, from March 30 to April 12, and will serve as a qualifying event for the World Cup.
