Azerbaijani grandmaster Shakhriyar Mamedyarov emerged as one of the top performers in the Global Chess League held in London.
According to Idman.biz, Mamedyarov earned 5.5 points in 8 games for his team, the Alaska Knights, sharing the title of most productive player on the team with Uzbekistan's Nodirbek Abdusattorov, who achieved the same score.
Among other standout players, Alexandra Kosteniuk, representing Triveni Continental Kings, also scored 5.5 points. Leading the league in performance, French player Alireza Firouzja is the top scorer with 6.5 points. Additionally, Azerbaijan's Teymur Rajabov, who plays for Jengavare, contributed 3 points.
