According to Idman.biz, in the 9th round, the two Azerbaijani grandmasters played against each other as part of their respective teams.
Mamedyarov’s team, the Alaskan Knights, faced Radjabov’s team, Triveni Continental Kings. Despite Radjabov’s personal victory over Mamedyarov on the third board with the white pieces, Mamedyarov's team emerged victorious overall with a 4:2 score.
Alaskan Knights maintained their lead in the standings with 21 points, while Triveni Continental Kings hold 3rd place with 12 points.
