Shakhriyar Mamedyarov's team, Alaskan Knights, has qualified for the final of the Global Chess League, held in London.
Idman.biz reports that in the last round of the group stage, the team defeated American Gambits 4:2.
Mamedyarov defeated Yu Yangyi (China).
Alaskan Knights collected 24 points and will face Alpine Pipers in the two-match final.
As for Teimour Rajabov’s team, Triveni Continental Kings, they finished third with 15 points.
The team managed to beat the finalist Alpine Pipers 3.5:2.5 in their last match. Teimour drew his game against Richard Rapport (Hungary).
