FIDE has disqualified the Ukrainian chess player Kiril Shevchenko representing Romania.
The reason for this was that the owner of intelligence wanted to defeat his opponent by being cunning, Idman.biz reports.
In the team competition held in Spain, Kirill often left his seat and entered the same toilet during the meeting with Paco Valejo. Suspecting this, the organizers found a mobile phone when they investigated the matter.
As a result, the chess player was suspended from all competitions until January 1, 2025.
