The European Chess Club Cup in Vrnjacka Banja, Serbia continues, and Azerbaijan's Vugar Gashimov chess club is competing.
According to Idman.biz, the team features top players including Rauf Mammadov, Aydin Suleymanli, Vugar Asadli, Ahmad Ahmadzada, Vugar Manafov, Ulvi Sadikhov, and Riad Samadov, with Sarkhan Gashimov as captain.
After securing two victories, the team will face the tournament favorite, Super Chess, in the third round. Dommaraju Gukesh, the Indian chess prodigy and Olympic champion, is on the top board for Super Chess. Team line-ups are yet to be announced.
