Azerbaijani grandmaster Eltaj Safarli continues to compete in Germany's 26th Bavarian Open Chess Championship.
As reported by Idman.biz, after securing four straight wins in the opening rounds, Safarli has drawn his last two games.
In the 6th round, he shared points with Elham Amar of Norway, bringing his total to 5 points. Safarli is currently half a point behind leader Dmitrij Kollars from Germany and holds third place.
This year’s championship features 150 participants from 30 countries, making it a truly international event with high-caliber competitors.
