FIDE World Cadet Chess Championship 2024 kicks off on November 15 in Montesilvano, Italy.
According to Idman.biz, Azerbaijan will be represented by 10 young players competing in the boys' and girls' categories for ages 8, 10, and 12.
The participants from Azerbaijan are Matin Bakirli, Yasin Azimov, Mahammad Kazimzada, Ahmad Huseynov, Yashar Shirinov, Sabira Muradli, Mehriban Ahmadli, Nurgun Fakhratzada, Zahra Allahverdi, and Sadegul Afandi.
More than 4,000 youth players from over 80 countries are expected at the championship, which will conclude on November 26.
