Yunis Huseynov: "Netherland's goal was not counted"

"We are watching very interesting matches in the European Championship and I believe that it will continue like this until the end."

Yunis Huseynov, former football player of the Azerbaijan national team, told Idman.biz.

He commented on the three matches that took place yesterday in EURO-2024. Huseynov said that in the Slovakia-Ukraine (1:2) match in Group E, "blue-yellows" saved their chances with an important victory: "True, Slovakia did not have a bad effect in the first part of the match. They went to the break in front. But in the second half, Ukraine literally rallied and played a good match. In the end, he got his wish and did not lose his chance. More difficult meetings await Ukraine. Currently, all teams are able to defend and attack. That's why every match is intense. There is no team that is easily defeated."

According to him, in the match between Poland and Austria (1:3) in Group D, the runners-up won a well-deserved victory with an excellent game: "I predicted this too. In the first game against France, Austria deserved 1 point. Because he performed very well in that match. The match against Poland also showed that the Austrians have a good team."

Huseynov said that in the match between the Netherlands and France (0:0), which took place in the same group, the teams scored less: "It was an even game. In my opinion, both have a high chance of calling the stage. It was almost an interesting match. They could not create many goals. Although the Netherlands scored a goal, it was not counted and the parties agreed on 1 point.
