The 39-year-old specialist announced the reason for leaving the club. He said that he did everything he could for the successful performance of the representative of Nakhchivan: “I spent everything on Araz-Nakhchivan. In the next 2 years, I took the team from the Regional League. Then we played in the 1st division. Then we were promoted to the Premier League. But every movie has an ending. Maybe someday I will be in Araz-Nakhchivan again. The reason I left the club is that I was not satisfied with the results in the last games. As I always say, I can't lose. It affected me too much. The situation in the club is good. There were people who called and became halal. The main reason for the separation was the results. If you can't change something for the better, then you have to think about something. You should look for something comfortable for you. It is not correct to sit in one place and count on the spot. Every day you spend there can cost you. That's why I made such a decision and the management accepted it with understanding."
According to Bagirov, he has no grudge against Araz-Nakhchivan: "We terminated the contract based on mutual consent. They will also pay my salaries. No problem. I am a professional, I have done my job properly. I wished success to Araz-Nakhchivan and Elmar Bakhshiyev. Today we can work for Azerbaijani football here, tomorrow somewhere else."
