This was said by the former Araz-Nakhchivan head coach Azer Bagirov, who was a guest of the Idman Bizde program.
The 39-year-old coach touched on the current situation of Neftchi, where he worked for a while. He said that the problem with the white and blacks is not so big: "Coach changes are always remembered for tactical mistakes. Because when the new one arrives, he starts instilling his football philosophy and thoughts. Football players sometimes do it, sometimes not. In this case, competitors take advantage of that gap. I think they should make a long-term project with a coach. That coach may not be successful in 1 year, but it will be in the following years. Every coach change is a huge financial loss. In recent years, Neftchi has not brought anyone to Azerbaijan football. It is not right to bring players every year and send them away. Unfortunately, this work is not going well with the representative of the capital."
According to Bagirov, the head coach policy of Sabah is also unsuccessful: "They only prefer foreign players. Why not Azerbaijani? Local coaches are also successful. Let's look at Samir Abbasov and Aykhan Abbasov. They are very successful. They are even cheaper than foreign ones. Why don't those guys do even bigger things at these big budget clubs? When there are such issues, I get a little angry."
