Ukrainian specialist Roman Hryhorchuk has been appointed as the head coach of Black and White. A 2-year contract was signed with a specialist visiting Baku to participate in an international event for the purpose of exchange of experience.
The Ukrainian, who started his coaching career in 1998 as an assistant coach, moved to "behind the steering wheel" of the Latvian club Dinaburg (1998-2005) in 2000. He played for Ventspils in the Baltic country (2005-2009), Metallurg (2009-2010) and Chernomorets in his homeland (2010-2014, until June 2021-2024), Gabala in Azerbaijan (2015-2018). , worked in the clubs Astana in Kazakhstan (2018-2019), Shakhtar in Belarus (2020-2021).
The experienced specialist won the Latvian championship 3 times (2006, 2007, 2008), the national cup 2 times (2005, 2007) in Ventspils and was awarded the title of the best coach since 2009.
