AFFA holds seminar on match-fixing - PHOTO

AFFA has organized another seminar on match-fixing.

As per Idman.biz, this was announced by the institution's press service.

A seminar was held at the Kainat Training Center in Salyan, at the Kapaz Academy in Ganja, and in the "Youth House" in Mingachevir, for referees of categories I, II, and III of the South and North-West regions. Seymur Salimli, UEFA's representative responsible for match integrity, said, "What should we know about match-fixing?" and "Our goal is to protect you and our football" gave a lecture, educational, and reporting presentations.

In the seminar, important issues regarding the fight against fixed games were discussed and experiences were exchanged. Local and international examples of spoken games were presented to the participants of the seminar. The participants of the seminar were informed about the Convention on Manipulation of Sports Competitions, a number of additions and changes to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Physical Education and Sports, as well as the additions and changes made to the Disciplinary Code of the Disciplinary Committee.

The participants of the seminar were told that they could send relevant information if they encountered such negative situations or suspicious moments.
