"I returned to Azerbaijan because there was a problem with the club in Turkiye."
Bakhtiyar Hasanalizade, the new transfer of Araz-Nakhchivan, told Idman.biz.
The 31-year-old defender of the Azerbaijan national team commented on the transition. He said that his goals in his new team will be big: "There were offers from other clubs besides Araz-Nakhchivan. I made this choice because the Nakhchivan club was more willing to see me in the team. I will do my best to earn his trust and get into the main team. The team has good players, good new transfers. There was no meeting with the management after my arrival. We have not yet been told what the targets will be. We will probably play for high goals. The staff of the team allows it. I will play well during the season and try to return to the national team."
Hasanalizade said that the factor of head coach Elmar Bakhshiyev played an important role in choosing the Nakhchivan club: "Even though we did not work with him, I heard very positive opinions about him. This is true both as a coach and as a person. Of course, having teacher Elmar here is a comfort and an advantage for me."
Bakhtiyar also said that he left his last club, Tuzlaspor.
"There are delays in payments."
Hasanalizade has played at Sumgayit, Zira and Sabah.
