"We will fight against the toughest opponent we can face."
As Idman.biz reports, Sabah football player Bojan Letic said this in an interview with the Israeli press.
The defender from Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed his opinion about the game against Maccabi (Haifa) in the second qualifying round of the Conference League. He said that Sabah will have a difficult meeting: "If I say that it will be difficult for us, no one will be surprised. Last season, Maccabi advanced to the 1/8 finals of the Conference League. That says it all. There is no need to add anything."
Letic does not consider it an advantage for his team that the opponent plays their home games outside Israel: "Maccabi, which played their home games outside their country last season, went too far. It will not affect us. I don't think it's a positive factor for us. I'm not pessimistic, I'm just realistic. We have 2 difficult matches ahead of us, and I hope we’ll advance."
The first game against Maccabi will be held today in Kisvarda, Hungary. The return match will take place in Baku on the 31st of the month.
