He commented on the game in which Sumgayit lost 1:2 to Fehervar (Hungary) in the Conference League second qualifying round. Asadov, who watched the match from the stadium, said that although the representative of Azerbaijan started the match well, the end was not good: "Thanks to a confident start, we scored a goal. Then the red card changed the tempo of the match, and the opponent's attacks increased more and more. Fehervar was especially active on the right wing. Of course, after the team is in the minority, physical indicators are important. Sumgayit is currently not in optimal form in this respect. Because it is still the beginning of the championship. That is why it is very difficult to play with 10 people for 60 minutes. That's why the opponent took advantage and won."
Asadov said that Sumgayit is not weaker than Fehervar and has a chance to level up in the return game: "They should not get demotivated. The team can get a profitable result in the away match and definite the result. Sumgayit’s only current problem is the lack of a central defense. This was also evident in the game. Probably, because there was no alternative option, Sabuhi Abdullazade played as a defender out of necessity. He was one of the best in the match. After Sabuhi retreated to the defense, there were problems in the center and our team didn't have the ball."
The Fehervar - Sumgayit match will take place on July 31.
