"After the defeat in Baku, we wanted to correct our situation and return home with 3 points in the new season."
Idman.biz reports that this was said by Dunajska Streda striker Laszlo Almasi.
The 26-year-old football player of Zira's opponent in the Conference League second qualifying round commented on the 2:2 draw with Kosice in the first round of the new season of the Slovak championship. He said that although he scored a goal, it was not enough for the victory: "It was an unsuccessful game. We could not get 3 points due to the penalty assigned to our goal in extra minutes. If I scored the winning goal, I would be very happy. Sometimes it brings luck, sometimes it doesn't."
Almasi also spoke about the return match against Zira in Slovakia. According to him, even if they lose 0:4 in Baku, they still have a chance: “We can win 4 different victories in the return match with Zira. We have not given up. If they managed to score 4 goals, why can't we do the same? The main thing is to believe in miracles."
The return match between Dunajska Streda and Zira will start on August 1 at 22:30.
