UEFA increases Solidarity payments

UEFA has increased Solidarity payments.

Idman.biz reports that the decision was made by the Executive Committee of the institution.

In 2024-27, 7 percent of the total revenue from European Cups will be distributed among non-participants in continental tournaments. In previous years, this figure was 4%.

Experts predict a revenue of 4.4 billion euros. This means that clubs will be paid a total of 308 million euros per year. Earlier, this number was 176 million.
In addition, 3% of the revenue is earmarked for clubs that lose in the qualifying rounds. This means that those who do not play in the main stages will earn 10% of the total revenues, approximately 440 million in total.

9 Azerbaijani clubs will receive Solidarity payments from UEFA. The only exception is Qarabag, which qualified for the UEL League phase. Six clubs will get a 7 percent share, while Zira, Sumgayit, and Sabah will get a 3% share.
