- How did the idea of establishing the Khankendi club come about?
- We were together with Vasif Ismayilov, the founder of the Fuzuli team. We thought, if possible, to create a club with this name. In this regard, we made an official appeal to AFFA and put forward a proposal to perform in the Regional League. I am always involved in mini-football. I went to Khankendi and saw the stadium there and fell in love with the city. Even after this trip, I only thought about creating a club called "Khankendi". He was also lucky.
- I wonder if you are also from Khankendi?
- No, I am from Qarabag. I was born in Barda. But I love Khankendi very much. It was so beautiful that I fell in love with this city. I wished to bring football to this city because it has a stadium. Everything was as I expected.
- What can you say about the staff of the club? Is the team already formed?
- There are a lot of football players around me, as well as Vasif Ismayilov. That's why we don't have any difficulty in recruiting the staff. We will inform about it after the transfers are formalized. Our head coach is also known. We have already prepared the uniforms of our players. Everything is at a high level. We approach all details as professionals, not amateurs.
- What will be the main goal of the club?
- Our main goal is to hold games in our own stadium. It's just not possible to play there right now for some reason. We will temporarily perform at Shamakhi City Stadium. Our goal is to create our base in Khankendi, develop football in this region and achieve its popularity. For this, we have to move forward step by step. We will try our best to become the champion this year, then repeat the same success in other leagues and enter the Premier League. Later, we set ourselves the goal of promoting the Khankendi club throughout Europe.
