Qarabag FK is preparing to celebrate a significant milestone as they play their 70th match in the main stages of the European Cup competitions.

According to Idman.biz, the historic game will take place in Baku during the second round of the UEFA Europa League group stage, where Qarabag will face Malmö. This achievement marks another milestone for head coach Gurban Gurbanov and his squad.

To date, Qarabag has played 69 matches in European Cup main stages, excluding qualification rounds. These matches are distributed across various tournaments: 6 in the Champions League, 53 in the Europa League, 10 in the Conference League.

The team has participated in: 60 group stage matches, 6 playoff games, 2 matches in the Round of 16, 1 in the League phase.

Under Gurbanov’s leadership, Qarabag has secured 16 wins and 16 draws, with 37 defeats. Over these matches, the team has scored 68 goals and conceded 118.

Qarabag’s European journey began in 2014, with their debut in the main stages taking place on September 18 in Baku, where they played Saint Etienne. The match ended in a 0-0 draw, marking the start of Qarabag’s European success story.
