Tallinn on Verge of Debuts and Milestones

Today, the Azerbaijani national team will face Estonia in the next match of the Nations League.

Idman.biz reports that head coach Fernando Santos has 23 players at his disposal for the game. The match in Tallinn could see the debut of three players: Aydın Bayramov, Zamiq Aliyev, and Vadim Abdullayev, none of whom have made an appearance for the senior team in an official match. If they take the field, it will be their first official game.

On the other hand, Badavi Huseynov, the most experienced player in the squad, has made 73 appearances. Close behind are Ramil Sheydayev and Emin Mahmudov, both having played over 50 games. Mahmudov, with 14 goals to his name, is on the verge of making history—if he scores today, he will become the top scorer in the national team's history, surpassing Gurban Gurbanov, with whom he currently shares the record.

Several other players are also approaching key milestones. Aleksey Isayev is set to make his 25th appearance, Rahil Mammadov his 20th, and Ozan Can Kokcu could reach his 10th cap.

The Estonia vs. Azerbaijan match will kick off at 20:00 Baku time.
