- We must be positive. We need good results, so I am optimistic. The theme of captaincy is such that we would not want to change every time. But considering his leadership qualities, we think of Badavi as a captain.
- The captaincy should show itself both on the field and off the field. I like Emin Mahmudov as an individual and as a football player. If the player cannot follow the instructions of the coach, then we have to choose another captain.
In the first game, I gave an instruction regarding the penalty, but it was not implemented. That's it.
- Of course we have to work hard. To instill a certain philosophy. We can already see that some work has been done in the attack plan. In the last game, we saw that we can do something in the attack plan. If we continue to create scoring chances, we will see the results. But if you concede too many goals, you are in trouble. - We are trying to improve the psychological condition of football players. We talk every day. We are not satisfied with the results. Of course I'm not happy. Only 15 percent of my coaching career consists of defeats. I want to form a normal team. It won't be easy. When I worked in Portugal, I spoke against Azerbaijan. The current situation is not encouraging for me either. I believed in the project here before I came here. We will reach our goal.
- We want to have an Azerbaijani coach in our coaching staff. We also talked about this with Ilgar Gurbanov.
- If after 2-3 years the promises I made are still in vain, I will take responsibility. If so, I will apologize to the federation management. I have a contract until 2028, I am responsible for all results.
- I understand the fans well. They are not happy with the results. We also. In order to see the result of our suffering in the future, we must focus on the positive. That's why you need the support of the fans. I appeal to them, come to the games and support the team.
- Everyone has their share in failure. In the current difficult situation, it is not right to place the blame on anyone. Sometimes problems are unavoidable, so we are very disappointed.
