Nigeria's away game against Libya in the Africa Cup of Nations on October 15 will not take place.
Idman.biz reports that this was caused by the guests' refusal to play.
Nigerians were kept at the airport without water for 12 hours. The guests' charter flight was diverted at the last minute by the Libyan government to the small Al Abraq airport, about a four-hour drive from Benghazi and normally used for military purposes.
The Nigerian players were not allowed to leave the airport. They were forced to sleep in the terminal seats.
Nigeria is in Group D of the Africa Cup of Nations. They lead with 7 points. Libya with 1 point is the last after Benin and Rwanda.
