Paralympic Champion Imamaddin Khalilov observes Kapaz training - PHOTO

Imamaddin Khalilov, the Para taekwondo player and winner of the upcoming Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games, recently attended a training session of the Kapaz club.

As reported by Idman.biz, Khalilov met with the club management, coaching staff, and players, fostering an inspiring environment for all involved.
Jabir Ibrahimov, the club's executive director, praised the perseverance and performances of Azerbaijani Paralympians:

"Our Paralympians serve as role models for everyone with their relentless efforts. Due to the support provided by the state, we see an increasing number of successes in international competitions each year, which makes our nation proud."

Azar Bagirov, the head coach of Kapaz, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the consistent success of Azerbaijani Paralympians:

"Our athletes always excel in major quadrennial competitions, proudly flying the Azerbaijani flag. We are dedicated to ensuring they represent our country effectively in Paris."

Imamaddin Khalilov expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and shared his long-standing admiration for the Kapaz team:
"I have been a fan of Kapaz since childhood. I believe that our victory over Neftchi in the historic derby will serve as a great motivation for the players. Life is a struggle, and one must not lose heart. I faced many challenges during my 7 years in sports, but through perseverance, I achieved all the goals I set for myself."

To conclude the meeting, Khalilov was presented with the team uniform.
