Opening meeting of the licensing season held - PHOTO

An opening meeting for the 2025/2026 licensing season was conducted at the AFFA administrative building for representatives of clubs participating in the Misli Premier League, as well as the First and Second Leagues and the High Girls' League.

According to Idman.biz, Sarkhan Hajiyev, the Executive Vice President of AFFA, emphasized the importance of the licensing process and wished success to all clubs in attendance.

Additionally, Anna Polatowska, a specialist from UEFA's Club Licensing Department, provided detailed information to participants regarding UEFA's Club Licensing and monitoring process, a comparative analysis of the financial and other indicators of Azerbaijani football clubs, and the licensing requirements for competing in the UEFA Champions League for women.

The meeting included presentations on the following topics:

• Review of the previous season and the updated organizational structure of the Club Licensing Department.

• Changes in official documents and licensing rules compared to the last season.

• Training sessions and seminars organized throughout the season.

• The electronic portal implemented within the licensing system since last season.

The portal is designed for clubs to submit documents, assess them, and address other related matters.

At the end of the meeting, club representatives had their questions answered.

Furthermore, starting this season, a new UEFA project will facilitate the exchange of best practices regarding licensing issues among national associations. In this context, licensing specialists from the Kazakhstan Football Federation (QFF) participated in the mentioned event. Erzhan

Musabekov, the head of KFF's Licensing Department, shared insights about the licensing system applied in Kazakhstan. Several meetings are planned through the weekend as part of the exchange program, during which AFFA and KFF representatives will engage in detailed discussions on licensing matters and share their experiences.
