The financial crisis at Spain’s football club Sevilla shows no signs of improvement.
According to Idman.biz, the La Liga team reported losses of €81.7 million last year.
This was disclosed during a shareholders' meeting, where it was revealed that Sevilla’s equity has now turned negative. The club’s debts have exceeded €65 million.
This marks the fourth consecutive financial year of losses for the club. Despite winning the Europa League, Sevilla incurred losses of €41.4 million during the pandemic, followed by €24.8 million in 2022 and €19.3 million in 2023. The total loss over the past four years has reached €167.2 million.
Currently, Sevilla sits in 11th place in La Liga with 12 points after 9 rounds.
