He shared his thoughts on Qarabag’s recent struggles, emphasizing that the team's results in the Europa League are normal for him: “Should we expect Qarabag to beat Ajax? If you enter the Europa League, the level of competition rises. The quality of the players determines the outcome of the match. While Qarabag have retained their squad, other teams have not stood still. Today, Badavi Huseynov and Bahlul Mustafazada are playing in defense, and they are key players for our national team. What can we expect? Do we want Qarabag to defeat Tottenham? We need to come to terms with reality. Once you’re in the Europa League, there’s a distinct difference in quality. The Aghdam club has to leap even higher to keep up with them. It’s normal for Qarabag to lose in the Europa League for me. Even if Tottenham plays with nine players, they will still defeat us because the quality and budget are completely different. Our team can make us happy with one or two games. But they face stronger and more skilled teams. This is something we need to consider.”
