Ajax, Qarabag’s opponent in the UEFA Europa League, will arrive in Baku today, ahead of their upcoming match.
According to Idman.biz, although teams typically travel a day before their games, the Dutch club has opted for an earlier arrival.
This decision was made by the team's head coach, Francesco Farioli, who cited two main reasons: the 7-hour travel duration and the 2-hour time difference between Amsterdam and Baku. Farioli believes arriving early will allow the players to better adapt to the time zone and conditions in Azerbaijan.
The match between Qarabag and Ajax will take place on October 24, at the Tofig Bahramov Stadium, starting at 20:45.
