The date and details for the draw of the 2026 World Cup qualifying rounds have been announced.
Idman.biz reports that the draw will take place on December 13. The Azerbaijani national team’s opponents will be determined through this draw. Unlike previous years, this event will be held online in Zurich, Switzerland, without the physical presence of federation representatives, team officials, or journalists. Some of the qualifying teams will be determined in the spring of 2025, meaning the final group compositions will be confirmed next summer.
The 2026 World Cup is scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
