Argentine forward Lionel Messi may return to FC Barcelona in 2026.

The Argentine superstar could rejoin the Catalonia club as part of his preparations for the 2026 World Cup, Idman.biz reports according to Telecom Asia Sport.

His contract with Inter Miami is set to expire in 2025, and Messi could sign a short-term deal with Barcelona to enhance his performance ahead of the tournament.

The 2026 World Cup is scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19.
